Over Exercising Effects

Can one over-exercise?
I am over 60 and daily (almost without fail) cycling for 30 minutes and on elliptical another 30 minutes. Thereafter swimming for 10 minutes. I have been feeling great and with no ill effects for many years now with that routine. I sweat quite a lot. Today, I read in a newspaper that one can overdo it and shorten one’s life.
One can age faster. Grateful for any advice.
I find it hard to believe that physical exertion lasting for slightly over an hour could be harmful…unless you are absolutely killing yourself. There is nothing better than swimming for ones body, at any age. Cycling and the elliptical are non-contact exercises as well, so I see no problem with them.
I wouldn’t worry about it!
